Declare Math Card Game Instructions
Objective: This card game is played almost identical to the traditional card game "War." The primary purpose is to increase rapid recollection of multiplication tables as well as addition and subtraction facts.
Maximum Players:
* 2 for Multiplication Game & Subtraction Game.
* Varies for Addition Game with total number of decks in play. For best results, in the Addition & Subtraction Games remove all of the 11 and 12 cards, leaving only the 0 through 10 cards & Wild cards in play.
How to Play:
* Deck is shuffled. Deal out all cards evenly between the players. Each player holds his cards downward where face side with numbers cannot be seen by anyone.
* Each player simultaneously takes the top card of his deck and flips it over, revealing its value. The first player who multiplies (or adds or subtracts) the two numbers correctly wins the round, collects the two cards, and places them off to the side. The next rounds are played the same until all cards have been used.
* Tie Breaker Option #1: If there is a tie in a round, the players place down the next 3 cards and flip over the 4th card while simultaneously chanting "I-De-clare-Math." The first player who correctly multiplies (or adds or subtracts) the two 4th card numbers wins that round and collects all cards involved. If tie again, repeat.
* Tie Breaker Option #2: Each player keeps his or her own card if there is a tie in a round or if no player can answer correctly.
* Tie Breaker Option #3: Each player that ties in a round repeats play until tie is broken. Winner collects all cards involved.
* Finally, the player with the most cards at the end of all rounds (one entire game) is the winner.
* These cards are also suitable for use in playing a variety of well known card games, which include War, Concentration and Solitaire, especially when traditional cards are not ideal.
